| August 22 I didn't know I could look into the future but my 4am appointment this morning was a lonely one because I was the only one there just as I predicted. Apparently nobody comes to work at this place until 5am! Why did they give me a 4am appointment you ask? Well, because that way the poor dumb trucker wouldn't be late! I dropped my trailer at one of their docks and received my instructions. August 21 The bugs were out in force today and I had to stop twice to clean the windshield: come to think of it was I actually cleaning the windshield or just making room for more bugs. Before I could go anywhere this morning I had to have a minor repair made on my trailer, nothing serious but enough to be a headache. Hey, It wouldn't be a truck if it didn't break down from time to time. August 20 Today has been one of those 'slog' days for me. I put it in the wind at eight this morning and now it's bed time again and I am in Kansas City. This is where I wanted to be tonight by the way. |
